Paden Cottage Opening

On January 3, 2018 Paden Cottage opened with the first six children moving in!

It’s been a long construction cycle but the outcome is fantastic! The girls each have their own room with a private bathroom, a study desk and plenty of room to grow and become the person they are meant to be.

A big thank you from the Director, his staff, the children and the Board of Directors of the Masonic-Eastern Star Home for Children to all the wonderful donors that helped us make this vision a reality!

Special thanks to MWB Ivan Vrtiska for designing a wonderful building that feels like a cozy, welcoming HOME!

The plans are done, the contracts have been signed and the first steps of construction on the new Paden Cottage are in action! Contractors began digging on the new cottage site for footings and basement which are the first steps in moving toward our goal of a new cottage.

The funding for the project is still being collected and the Masonic-Eastern Star Home for Children would be grateful for any donation amount you would like to share with us. Use the link on this page or send in a check! (The M-ESHC is a 501(c)3 organization)

PROJECT UPDATE 16 JULY 2016

On July 16th the Children of the Masonic-Eastern Star Home for Children, the Board of Directors and the Easter Star celebrated the groundbreaking for the new Paden Cottage!

This is the next big step in this exciting project and we hope to be digging a much bigger hole soon!

Pictures of the groundbreaking ceremony are at the link in the left column.

PROJECT UPDATE 6 MARCH 2016

The plans and specs for the Century (Paden) Cottage are nearly done. The picture above is of the outside elevations for the cottage. The cottage is being done in the Prairie House style which will blend well with the current architecture on campus.

The Cottage will have room for 8 children, 2 apartments for house parents, a 4-H Room and plenty of space for the children to spread out and relax.

Fund raising has been going well but we still need your donation to help with this project. Please consider using the donation button above to support this wonderful project.
